Daily prayers from our persecuted family
Each day our Prayer Shield provides a brief, country-focused prayer topic for you to use. It can help if you are busy, or if you just do not know what to pray for. You can see today’s prayer, plus those for the last six days, to the right.
Pray that the new believers who have been added to underground churches during the past few months would know a close walk with Jesus and how to witness to others.
Pray for our partner, ‘Sharif’, who is instrumental in leading and training others for ministry. Ask God to protect him and his wife as they travel, both throughout the islands and internationally. May his advocacy work bear significant fruit. (See Voice podcasts, Feb and Mar 2026).
Pray that Christians across Iraq, especially those with influence, will not be tempted or pressured to leave but would stay and be living examples to all of Christ’s love and care.
Pray for the children who attend St George’s Church school and the patients – from every religious background – who attend its clinic.
Pray for Rev Canon Faiz Jirjees and his assistant, Sinan, and their ministry at St George’s Church and clinic in Baghdad. May God protect them as they preach peace, reconciliation and hope in a divided and often violent society.
Pray for ‘Ibrahim’ and others like him who have suffered exclusion and even death threats for their faith in Christ. Although estranged from their families, may they find close relationships within their church fellowships.
Please pray for protection for our partners in Erbil: for their team and their families during this time of conflict in the Middle East.
